The Exchange Council of Ukrainian Resource Exchange LLC (URB) has approved amendments to the Regulations on the Organization and Conduct of Exchange Trading for the “Unprocessed Timber and Lumber” market.
The amendments extend the scope of the Regulations to cover the organization of exchange auctions involving the conclusion of derivative contracts (forwards), where the underlying assets are unprocessed timber and fuelwood.
The amendments were introduced following the issuance of a license to URB for conducting professional activities in organized commodity markets, specifically the organization of the conclusion of derivative contracts on commodity exchanges, pursuant to NSSMC Resolution No. 34/21/2689/K01 dated August 5, 2025.
The Exchange Council also approved the Master Agreement (Appendix No. 20 to the Regulations), which defines the terms and conditions of derivative contracts (forwards), as well as the standard templates for forward contracts covering the purchase and sale of unprocessed timber and fuelwood.
